Following the terrorist attack of 22 March 2024, the Anti-terrorism Coordination Group (GCT) met at the request of the Prime Minister to assess the threat situation on the national territory.

An unannounced test of the zonal SMS alert took place on Friday 22 March 2024 in the municipalities of Differdange, Pétange, Käerjeng, Sanem, Bourscheid, Tandel, Diekirch, Erpeldange-sur-Sûre, Ettelbruck, Schieren, Colmar-Berg and Bettendorf.

Following a DDoS (distributed denial of service) cyber attack aimed at preventing access to several Luxembourg websites, a crisis unit was convened in the afternoon, chaired by the Minister for Digitalisation, Stéphanie Obertin.

Since the morning of 21 March 2024, several government websites have been the target of a cyber DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack. A DDOS attack consists of saturating the computer resources of targets.
